Its been a long time coming, but I finally created my Etsy store for my illustrations. They need good homes! Please visit me at etsy.com/shop/marasherlock
I love the the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s and always admired Audrey Hepburn. I found a movie still and loved how endearing it looked when she was holding Cat. I used watercolors to A. try something different and B. it looks softer than marker. Let me tell you, I am not hating watercolors. I’m happy how it turned out but will I definitely work on technique. Practice makes perfect.
I decided to check out Copic Markers because they seem all that and then some.
I’m in big trouble! So long paycheck.
I’ve been strictly a Prismacolor kind of girl but Copic Markers are quickly squeezing their way into my heart. I’m not the greatest when it comes to coloring but Copic Markers make it so easy! The colors just melt into each other making skin tones a breeze to render. I went to Hobby Lobby to pick up a pack of 6 skin tone colors for $39.99 but I had a coupon and saved $16! Not bad but still pretty expensive.
Color list from lightest to darkest colors: Skin White, Barley Beige, Light Suntan, Dark Suntan, Copper, Blush (Pale Pink)
Here are some of my doodles using Copic Markers for the first time.
